US rock’n’roll band tour stops off at Windsor
On Wednesday 6th February, popular US rock’n’roll band JOE D’URSO & STONE CARAVAN, will appear live on stage at Chicago Rock Cafe, Windsor as part of their Wicked On Wednesday season.
In 2002, D'Urso & Stone Caravan were chosen by House of Blues Concerts and The Harley Davidson Corporation to be the "official house band" for Harley's 100th Anniversary Open Road World Wide Tour. D'Urso was the only independent artist on the tour which performed three day festivals in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney and Milwaukee with artists such as Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Tim McGraw, Elton John and many others. D'Urso co-wrote a thirty-minute musical production for Harley Davidson titled "Thunder" that was highlighted throughout the tour.
Since that time, Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan have released a string of successful CD’s and have toured extensively around the globe. Their 2008 UK Tour brings them to Windsor for a one night only gig.
D'Urso's music is rootsy, introspective, rocking and forceful. Live shows have been recorded and traded worldwide and have attracted a legion of fans in 24 countries as many regularly travel hundreds of miles to attend performances.
Admission to this event is £2 before 10pm and £3 after. The band is supported by popular Chicago's DJ, Gary O'Brien, who will take us through to 1am with a disco. Further details of this event can be found at http://www.wickedonwednesday.com/
